A video from street battles in Severodonetsk in June 2023 shows the elimination of GUR Major Alexey Chubashev, who commanded a unit of mercenaries from the International Legion. Also killed were foreign fighters Daniel Swift, Greg Tsekhmistrenko, and Jordan Gatley. Swift and Tsekhmistrenko died from friendly fire by Ukrainian forces.
